Come meet Peterson Toscano, join in discussion and see part of the some of his monologues.
Peterson Toscano is a theatrical performance activist using comedy and storytelling to address social justice concerns. Since 2003 he has traveled in North American, Europe, and Africa performing in diverse venues and speaking in the media. Throughout his career as a theatrical performance activist, Peterson has used storytelling as his primary tool to educate and instigate broader understandings of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues. He also has raised questions about the intersection of faith and sexuality.

Reading of Tacoma Mayor's Proclamation for Mr. & Mrs. Gay WA Pageant

The Imperial Sovereign Court of Tacoma and the Rainbow Center invites you to a first time event in Tacoma.

The Mayor of Tacoma, Mayor Marilyn Strickland has granted a "PROCLAMATION" for the 40th Annual Mr., Miss and Ms Gay Washington Pageant. Mayor Marilyn Strickland will be reading and presenting this "PROCLAMATION".
This will happen in front of the entire City Council, prior to the Council starting their meeting.

Mayor Strickland has asked for The Imperial Sovereign Court of Tacoma, Diamond Empire of the Cascades to attend in "FULL DRAG AND FULL REGALIA" for the reading of this "PROCLAMATION". The event will last around 20 min at the most.

We are asking to have full representation of our vast community representing all Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersexed, Questioning/Queer and Allied Individuals.

Transfigurations by Peterson Toscano

Peterson?fs performances at UPS are part of the artist in residence program. He will spend a week on campus connecting with students through performances, workshops, informal meetings, classroom instruction and more. This performance is part of International Day of Transgender Visibility.

You're invited to become a Believe Out Loud Disciple (BOLD) in your community.

This year’s BOLD campaign seeks to gather Reconciling United Methodists (RUMs) across the country to Believe Out Loud…to tell our stories, to become Believe Out Loud Disciples.
By sharing our stories of why we are Reconciling United Methodists we can exponentially grow our movement!
BOLD teams who are trained in Seattle will be helping to share these stories and to sign up new RUMs.
